Platinum is on the move to bring financial peace of mind and the industry’s best products to more hardworking people. On Oct. 21, Platinum cut the grand-opening ribbon on Georgia, making it Platinum’s fourth new territory in two years.
Brad E., Georgia team leader, said he’s excited to help Platinum grow in the home state of State Mutual Insurance Company, Platinum’s carrier partner. “It’s all new territory, and you just feel good when you’re building something new. It’s good for the company; it’s good for everybody.”
“We’ve been wanting to move into Georgia for a while,” said Platinum CEO Jim Lange. “There are several benefits for us there, including people’s familiarity with the name State Mutual.”
Finding a determined, motivated leader is always a crucial part of opening a new state. In 2007, Brad helped Platinum open Texas. “There is a lot that goes into planning a new state,” said Jim, “and when we started considering the right leader, Brad spoke up. We felt he had the drive and the leadership experience to get this started.”
In September 2019, Brad moved from Kansas to Florida and began learning as much as he could about his new territory. Right away, he set his goals: “My mission here is to develop team leaders out of agents. I would like to hit at least $25,000 in production by the end of the year. It won’t be easy, but that’s a goal. By next year, I want to grow the territory and find at least one new leader.”
“It’s an exciting time to be with Platinum,” said Kevin Van Veldhuizen, vice president of sales. “When we say the sky’s the limit with Platinum, this is what we mean. There are great opportunities right now for new representatives to grow into leadership.”
INDIANA | Opened March 2018
“I’ve learned that you can sell this product anywhere because it’s the best on the market. …You’re going to talk to a lot of people, a lot of good people. When we go into a new state, they’re a little more curious to know what Platinum is about and what we offer.”

IDAHO | Opened March 2018
“My first week in Idaho was a bit scary. We had no current customers, and I was doing first-week training. I just put my head down and practiced what we preach every day. We ended up selling 10 new applications that week, and it made me realize even more that this process really does work no matter where you are working.”

NORTH DAKOTA | Opened
“Building a customer base of new business will stabilize your business and Platinum all at the same time. It is very rewarding to build something from nothing.”
