Life as a Platinum Spouse: Nina N.

“It's nice to be surrounded with people who want to be successful and see others be successful.” Nina N.

In November 2011, a Platinum sales representative showed Nina and her husband Dave a Platinum-marketed policy. In addition to being impressed by the value of the product presented to them, Dave and Nina were extremely intrigued by the thought of an insurance sales career. With Nina’s encouragement and support, Dave has been able to enjoy a fruitful career with Platinum. Read on to hear Nina tell their story in her own words.

What were your initial thoughts when Dave started his career?

We were at a point in our lives where we didn’t want to work for someone else; we were ready to build something on our own. Dave was hesitant at first because he had never done sales, but I was extremely supportive of this career change and assured him that everything would be okay. Within the first couple months, we realized that the income potential with Platinum is real. Everything has only progressed since then.

What challenges have you faced throughout Dave’s career with Platinum?

It was difficult at first having him gone four days a week. However, we quickly realized how much quality time we were able to enjoy together as a family on the weekends”‚ÄĚsomething we had never experienced before. It hasn’t always been easy raising two children and managing our ranch, but we have worked through the difficult times and have seen the results. Dave and I continue to build our lives together, and that really keeps us motivated and moving forward.

How have you been involved with Dave’s career?

When we first joined Platinum, there were periods of time when Dave would doubt himself and question if we were doing the right thing. I encouraged him to keep going, and we continue to stay strong for each other during the hard times. I make sure everything is taken care of at home, so Dave can direct his focus and attention to helping those who need it in the rural communities. Our relationship has only grown stronger because of this opportunity.

What is the best aspect of being a part of the Platinum family?

It’s nice to be surrounded with people who want to be successful and see others be successful. At Platinum, we’re surrounded by optimistic, wonderful, encouraging and successful people who have become family to us. It is not just about us, it is about everyone out there. Seeing other Platinum sales representatives succeeding is just as exciting as seeing Dave succeed. We have never been a part of such a tight-knit group.

If you were talking to a couple and one of them was considering a sales career with Platinum, what kind of advice would you give them?

Just give it a try. This is a very unique opportunity that Platinum offers to families to alter their destiny into something bigger and better than they would be able to accomplish with an average job. If you’re willing to put in the work, amazing things will happen. There are going to be ups and downs, and it will take time, but don’t give in.
