Hard Work, Straight Talk, Big Goals

Brendon B.

TITLE: Team Leader
RESIDES IN: TExas
START DATE: September 2024

From bartender and landscape lighting tech to Platinum Team Leader, Brendon has never shied away from hard work or big goals. As the middle child in a family of seven, he learned early how to hold his own. That same spirit shows up in how he leads today: with clear expectations, open communication, and a relentless drive to help others surpass what they thought possible.

Before joining Platinum, Brendon spent six years in the service industry, followed by a near-miss on a medical equipment sales job. “I made it to the final three candidates,” he says, “but didn’t get it. I was crushed.” Just two days later, a recruiter from Platinum called—and the rest, as he puts it, was divine timing. “That job falling through led me here, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

Since starting his Platinum career, nearly everything in his life has changed for the better. “It would be easier to list what hasn’t changed,” he laughs. “Platinum has transformed my life in every way.” But the path hasn’t been without obstacles. “Everyone who succeeds here faces something,” he says. “But the people who last are the ones who don’t let that stop them.”

Now stepping into his new role as Team Leader, his mission is clear: grow himself and his team. “One of the best parts of leadership is watching someone on your team achieve something they never thought they could. That’s the win.”

When it comes to leadership, he keeps things simple and strong: “When the work is done, we have fun. But until then, it’s all about clear communication and staying focused. I want my team to talk openly, honestly, and often. Teams that communicate well win more often—period.”

For those looking to level up at Platinum, he offers this advice:

“Don’t let how you feel affect what you do. And whatever you think your limit is here… I promise, you can do more.”

Outside of work, he recharges by watching anything competitive—baseball, Formula One, bull riding—and spending time with his girlfriend and his dog. One day, he hopes to own bucking bulls and raise them on his family’s land to compete in the rodeo.
